POIR 1 1 1
Project co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund under the Intelligent Development Operational Program
- Developing innovative functionalities in the world to apply innovative solutions in the field of Internet of Things (IoT)
On 11/09/2017 the co-financing agreement No. POIR.01.01.01-00-0873 / 16-00 was signed between the National Center for Research and Development and Nokia Solutions and Networks Sp. z o.o. for the implementation of the project “Developing innovative functionalities in the world to apply innovative solutions in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT)” under Measure 1.1.1 of the Intelligent Development Operational Program 2014-2020 co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
The planned project aims to develop innovative solutions for base stations in areas of very high intensity of users and / or devices. This is a significant challenge for the telecommunications market in terms of network usage intensity, which on the one hand is an increasing number of devices in a given area and on the other a very large number of users in small areas. The issue to be developed under the Project is to create prototype solutions in the field of LTE-Narrow Band or LTE-Machine enabling communication of LTE networks of devices using a narrow frequency band, increasing the number of IoT devices for the transceiver cell (celle) of the LTE base station, increasing range and reliability of radio transmissions, support for IoT solutions through selected system modules and radio modules as well as development of IoT modems functionality and E2E solutions. Achieving the goals of the Project will be possible thanks to the extensive experience of NSN in R & D, the involvement of specialized R & D staff, excellent knowledge of the market and the possession of appropriate technical resources. The project will be implemented in the period 01.2017-06.2019.

- Development of the world’s first automatic telecommunication network development assistant – an analytical tool that enables holistic addressing of fundamental issues instead of distributed and unit analysis of data and problems in the network, in order to profile the development of NSN products and the configuration of a functioning network
On 29/06/2018, the co-financing agreement No. POIR.01.01.01-00-1009 / 17-00 between the National Center for Research and Development and Nokia Solutions and Networks Sp. z o.o. for the implementation of the project “Development of the world’s first automatic telecommunications network development assistant – an analytical tool that allows holistic addressing of fundamental issues instead of distributed and unit analysis of data and problems in the network, to profile development of NSN products and configuration of a functioning network”.
The project involves the development of an innovative automatic assistant to the development of telecommunications networks in the world. It is a response to the significant challenge of the telecommunications market in the scope of the need to profile product development and configuration of functioning networks with respect to individual clients. Issues to be developed under the Project include R & D works in the field of, among others:
1) developing analytical factors and creating assumptions for the data model,
2) developing the assumptions and concepts of the analytical engine,
3) developing a data platform model,
4) calibration of the developed solution, implementation in real conditions and creation of a user interface.
The development of an innovative solution and its implementation in the operations of the Company will be the basis for proposing on the market new products and telecommunications solutions automatically adapted to the individual needs of a given operator, based on a system analysis of needs and multidimensional, historical or forecasted telecommunications and context data. The results of R & D works will be implemented to the Applicant’s own activity on the territory of the Republic of Poland within 3 years from the completion of the project. Achieving the goals of the project will be possible thanks to the extensive experience of NSN in R & D, the involvement of specialized R & D staff, excellent knowledge of the market and the possession of appropriate technical resources. The project will be implemented and settled in the period 01/03/2018 – 31/10/2020.
